SirsiDynix, the world leader in library automation technology, is pleased to announce the release of Enterprise 2.0, a high-quality search solution with leading-edge capabilities that help people discover what they’re looking for. High-tech logic and reasoning functionality ("fuzzy logic") allow for successful results regardless of patrons’ misspellings, diacritics, suffixes, prefixes and other tricky issues.
The most recent enhancements to SirsiDynix Enterprise allow libraries to:
- Include search capabilities for any size library or consortium
- Display selected website search results within the catalog, with the built-in, no extra charge, Library Favorites feature
- Let patrons save searches as an RSS web feed
- Integrate easily and directly with SirsiDynix OPACs
- Offer patrons dynamic search suggestions as they type
- Use "Did you mean..." suggestions based on actual terms in the catalog, not a generic dictionary
- Email and print search results quickly and easily
- Offer interactive user ratings and reviews with ChiliFresh
SirsiDynix CTO, Talin Bingham, said, "SirsiDynix Enterprise 2.0 is the best way to get successful search results regardless of errors in typing, misspellings, prefixes, suffixes and diacritics. No other library solution offers this functionality and we are excited to bring these quality search results to libraries. In addition, ‘did you mean…’ functionality and user ratings and reviews make this solution a beautiful OPAC add-on for libraries and their patrons."
SirsiDynix Enterprise 2.0 is available for e-Library, HIP, iBistro, eCole, and iLink OPACs.
